Dog biscuit recipes are simple, delicious and nutritious for your canine friends. You will make your dogs so happy! If you're anything like me, I am much more aware of eating healthy so why wouldn't I want to feed my pooches this way!
When making dog treats I love to use delicious wholesome ingredients that I usually will have on hand in my kitchen. Treats are to be given to your dog sparingly to compliment their main dog diets. Or - how about a nice reward after an hour of poodle puppy training!
1/3 cup peanut butter (preferably natural with no sugar added)
1/2 cup mashed banana
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1 egg white lightly beaten for brushing tops
1 tbsp honey
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees fahrenheit
Lightly grease a baking sheet or your reserved dog biscuit recipes pan - I use organic coconut oil (human friendly too!)
Stir together the egg, the peanut butter, the mashed banana and the honey
Stir in the quick oats and the ground flax seed.
Combine all ingredients well.
Shape into little dog biscuits or use your imagination!
I prefer to make little miniature cookie shaped biscuits.
Pop in the oven and bake for at least 30 minutes - you want them to be more on the dry side so they will have more of a crunch rather than chewy.
The wonderful aroma that will fill your home will make you drool, never mind your dog! Your poochie will thank you for making these yummy dog treats for him!
Let cool before feeding to your dog! Your pooches will gobble these up and don't forget they make a lovely homemade gift for your friends who love their dogs as much as you do yours! Bone Apetit!
Making dog treats is so gratifying. Beautiful natural ingredients make them all the more nutritious and you know exactly what your best buddy is getting! Stay tuned for more dog biscuit recipes!
